Founded in early 2012, the Cerrado Bioregional Institute - IBC is the result of a socio-environmental mobilization between environmental activists, educators and families who migrated to the Chapada dos Veadeiros region with the motivation to implement a Reference Center for Social Technologies that includes: permaculture, ecopedagogy, communitarianism and renewable technologies, with the aim of strengthening bioregional practices and Chapada dos Veadeiros as a territory of relevant importance for the preservation of the high-altitude cerrado.

INSTITUTIONAL
Work in municipal and state councils, related to the environment and rural development, including COMDEMA, CONPARQUE, CONAPA, CDR and UNB Cerrado, in addition to being part of CASA - Sustainable Settlement Council of Latin America and GEN - Global Ecovilage Network (Global Network of Ecovillages)
RPPNS
Having been a project since its foundation, IBC has two RPPN's - Private Natural Heritage Reserve.
. RPPN Murundu , of 40 Hectares, which protects an extensive area of murundu fields, threatened with extinction. Border with PNCV - Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park.
. RPPN Bioregional , 2.5 hectares - second smallest in the state of Goiás, located in the center of the urban expansion of Alto Paraíso de Goiás, representing an important testimony of our Cerrado.

Sustainable Human Settlement
Occupying 1/4 of the 120 hectares of the total area belonging to the IBC, the settlement follows regenerative housing premises, based on its Statute and Term of Use.
ECOCENTER
Connected to the Settlement and RPPN Murundu, the IBC Ecocentro has a community structure for meetings, events, courses and research on local biodiversity.
